Foo Chow Asian Buffet located in Walker, LA has always been a staple since the first day they opened their doors in March 2015. They offer a wide variety of chinese cuisine, hibachi, sushi, and southern food. Fast forward to August 2017 and Walker, LA and it’s surrounding areas are completely devastated by the flooding and overflow of the amite river. Foo Chow Buffet remained was spared from the flooding and used this opportunity to serve hot meals to volunteers and evacuees. They took it upon themselves to give back to the community without giving the loss of profit or revenue a second thought. They never expected to be awarded or presented with anything other than appreciation from the people and community they’ve been serving for the past few years.
On August 21st 2017, Mayor Jimmy Watson awarded Foo Chow Asian Buffet the key to the city of Walker, LA. The Mayor mentions “They fed anyone who needed a meal.
